This strawberry coconut protein smoothie is a fresh and healthy breakfast or snack that will fill you up and satisfy your sweet tooth. Frozen strawberries are blended with coconut milk, protein powder, flax seed, honey and vanilla extract for a refreshing beverage you will love.
Only 6 ingredients are required in this recipe: frozen strawberries, protein powder, coconut milk, honey, vanilla extract, and ground flax seed. No refined sugars added and completely gluten free.
Want to make this recipe vegan? Use plant-based protein powder instead of regular whey protein powder or omit it altogether.
Have leftovers? Add it to a plastic resealable bag and lay flat in the freezer. When you are ready to enjoy it again, break it into pieces and toss back into your blender to puree until smooth.
Substitutions
Protein Powder: Don’t have protein powder? No problem. Either fully omit the protein powder or add another protein-filled ingredient such as peanut powder.
Flax Seed: Try another ground seed such as chia to get the same health benefits.
Coconut Milk: Any other non-dairy milk such as soy or almond milk will work.
Strawberries: Swap for any other kind of berry such as raspberries or blueberries.
Honey: Swap out for maple syrup or agave or omit altogether.

Smoothie Ingredients
• 5.8 oz. (165g) frozen strawberries
• 8 fl oz. (240ml) coconut milk
• 1 oz. (30g) vanilla protein powder
• 2 tsp. honey
• 1 tsp. vanilla extract
• 1 tsp. ground flax seed
Instructions
1. Place all the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
2. Pour into a glass and top with coconut flakes and fresh strawberries if desired.
